Hello Jeff, I can't tell you enough how greatly I appreciate your having made this website available for those like myself who love and cherish the beautiful ragtime music. Listening to you play carries me back in time to a happier and more peaceful era. I close my eyes and feel transported back to those halcyon days before the Great War when ragtime was heard everywhere and people moved at a slower pace. The way you play the ragtime is so silvery and absolutely exquisite. You are indeed a highly gifted master of ragtime and I could spend hours listening to you play on and on. I find these midis to be without equal and I intend to come back again and again to "drink" deep of this beautiful music. I have always been a ragtime aficionado and listening to your wonderful renditions uplifts and cheers me to the highest degree. When I am feeling down, I listen to the rags and right away I start lightening up and soon feel happy again. So you see, your ragtime playing is truly good for the soul. Keep up the good work. You have done an excellent job here and I would definitely rate your website as five stars. Years ago (I believe it was about 1963 or 64) when I was attending college in Alton, IL I had a chance to hear Max Morath play. It was absolute heaven and ever since that long ago day, I have been hooked on ragtime! If I could go back in time to about 1902, I think I'd be perfectly happy as then I could listen to ragtime to my heart's content. It was all the rage back then and I'm so glad it has been revived and lovingly cultivated by musicologists such as yourself and Warren Trachtman. You do us all a great service. Wishing you a wonderful '99 and every success. I thank you again for all you have done to make these ragtime midis available.
